FRIENDS OF MSMEs
IN UP ASSEMBLY

Friends of MSMEs in UP Assembly is a forum of MLAs from Uttar Pradesh, modeled on the highly successful Friends of MSMEs in Parliament, which is proving effective in resolving MSME issues at the central level. This group has been formed to serve as a vital link between political leadership and the MSME sector, aiming to foster rapid economic growth and overcome systemic inertia. Our goal is to use the powers of the legislature to find systemic solutions to the problems faced by small entrepreneurs and to establish a strong, investment-friendly culture in the state.

Our Mission & Objectives

Ensuring Legislation incorporate MSMEs Perspective

To interact with stakeholders, gather their concerns and aspirations and to voice them in the Parliament through a structured process during every Session of Parliament.

Leveraging Parliamentary Institutions for benefit of MSMEs

We will use legislative mechanisms, such as committees, to bring together government bodies, constitutional institutions, and MSMEs to resolve long-pending issues.

Facilitating Dialogue with Government institutions & MSMEs

Our forum will serve as a platform for continuous dialogue between government ministries, departments, and MSME leaders to improve outcomes and promote a business-friendly environment

Our Convernor

Dr. Neeraj Bora

MLA LUCKNOW

Dr. Neeraj Bora is a distinguished politician, doctor, and social worker serving as a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, representing the Lucknow North constituency. He is a two-time MLA, having been elected in both the 2017 and 2022 state assembly elections.

Dr. Bora’s multi-faceted experience in medicine, education, and politics provides a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities for MSMEs, particularly in sectors related to healthcare and education. He is dedicated to fostering an investment-friendly culture and is a strong advocate for the self-employed and small entrepreneurs who are vital to the state’s economic prosperity.

As the Convenor of the Friends of MSMEs in UP Assembly, Dr. Bora is a key leader in the movement to accelerate economic growth in Uttar Pradesh. He is committed to leveraging his legislative role to create a more favorable environment for MSMEs, ensuring their perspectives are heard and their challenges are addressed. He has stated his confidence that the group will meet regularly and effectively tackle the binding constraints faced by the state’s MSMEs
